CBS Features Aptera As “Jetsons Style - Space Age Mileage”
by Lance
The attractive Aptera electric car, which includes a hybrid system to achieve over 300 miles on one gallon, was given broadcast mainstream media attention by KFBM CBS 8 in San Diego. It is sad to see the “fair and balanced” mainstream media, with an opportunity to really inform, ends up only mocking the progress that Aptera has made. Monopolistic media and that’s really all that needs to be said there.

Far from what I would consider an objective report, this was quite deliberate at the expense of Aptera and the viewers who were denied a more informative report, not to mention a technology that can, you know..sorta save mankind and all… no big deal.
Steve’s opening statement “behind me is the Aptera..” was accompanied by a loud Jetsons intro music chime that distracted from his introduction which was of course the name if the car, which I did not hear it mentioned by the reporter at all. I also do not recall seeing a text graphic of the name of the car during the report, or names the interviewees. I am at least thankful Aptera got any mainstream notice at all, but I bet it was massacred during the editing.
I think we know why, I just like pointing it out.

The media propagandizing machine against non combustion vehicles has only begun.
I ‘ll give the benefit of the doubt on no mention of the company and owner names since the beginning of the clip was cut by a few seconds, so it seems.
I did a search at the cbs8.com for “Aptera” and no article related to the car resulted. I did however search for “Jetsons” and found the report.

I viewed the YouTube video and didn’t find it that offensive. Granted, it was pretty light in details and was more “infotainment” than anything else. But, you got to appeal to the masses somehow, I guess.
