This is a great idea for daytime lighting and almost a free energy device. This video is more of a sales pitch to businesses. Mainly because, for now, that is the only entity that could afford the HSL 3000 system. But, as stated, with demand brings lower cost. So it is still a fascinating use of sunlight that is almost completely eco-friendly. The fiber is plastic.

Plus the benefit of our own circadian clock.
I say, strap some PV cells on it and nix the weekly 9-volt battery. Perhaps some small wind turbines to power the processor.

Either way, it looks like an interesting technological addition to sustainable energy possibilities.
