And, it is true I seem to be focusing posts on the bigger projects instead of the smaller things we can do. I guess I figure the incrementization of the things aren’t working so we’ll have to start from the top down.

So many people are confused by what they can recycle or not, places to take items which their local recycling centers don’t (i.e. batteries, clothes, metals, fluids/chemicals, etc..), how to lower their dependence on ozone-killing chemicals.

For instance, by simply recycling all of our junk mail, magazines and newspapers, we have saved dumping over 1000 pounds in our local landfill last year!! Also, I no longer accept the plastic grocery bags when I go shopping, I now bring my own ecofriendly alternative (saving another 400+ bags per year!!) I use these: http://www.brightandbold.com/envirosaxmono.html, but there are tons of different ones out there to pick from… just use something!
