Ack you did! I made a mistake. I think Greenerth's was above it, and I must've been in a sleep daze and quickly assumed it was a double post. I am sorry. The wording was very similar.

And thank you BOTH so much for the recognition!

Thanks all for the great comments.

An award? Me?:)

And, it is true I seem to be focusing posts on the bigger projects instead of the smaller things we can do. I guess I figure the incrementization of the things aren't working so we'll have to start from the top down.

I think you have a great blog going, and I'd love to see you cover some "smaller" things each of us can do to help the planet in our everyday lives as well as these larger home & auto breakthroughs being designed (which may hopefully become affordable for all in the not too distant future).

So many people are confused by what they can recycle or not, places to take items which their local recycling centers don't (i.e. batteries, clothes, metals, fluids/chemicals, etc..), how to lower their dependence on ozone-killing chemicals.

For instance, by simply recycling all of our junk mail, magazines and newspapers, we have saved dumping over 1000 pounds in our local landfill last year!! Also, I no longer accept the plastic grocery bags when I go shopping, I now bring my own ecofriendly alternative (saving another 400+ bags per year!!) I use these: http://www.brightandbold.com/envirosaxmono.html, but there are tons of different ones out there to pick from... just use something!

these rooftop wind turbines could be just what this country needs...instead of buying that second car or buying that second home...people should really be investing in energy security, this not only alleviates the contribution to global warming...but also pays itself off in the long run. Great post :)
