I originally had Snap Shots installed, but after making undesirable changes to the old theme, it ended up a linked up mess. But with this darker theme, the extra color looks rather pleasing.
The outbound links, which are the links that take you to another site…(hey, someone might have asked) will now display a little box Snap Shots little icon thingy beside the link signifying it wants some pointer-hover-action. A sufficient explanation is below.

SnapShots is well prepared while signing up, with a copy and paste code to introduce the new feature in a post. Quite clever indeed.

I just installed a nice little tool on this site called Snap Shots that enhances links with visual previews of the destination site, interactive excerpts of Wikipedia articles, MySpace profiles, IMDb profiles and Amazon products, display inline videos, RSS, MP3s, photos, stock charts and more.

Sometimes Snap Shots bring you the information you need, without your having to leave the site, while other times it lets you “look ahead,” before deciding if you want to follow a link or not.

Should you decide this is not for you, just click the Options icon in the upper right corner of the Snap Shot and opt-out.

This is definitely a charming program that adds a certain hi-tech interactive feel to the site. I doubt it is dial-up friendly, so I apologize in advance to those users. I think it’ll work out nicely, but I will consider it a trial phase for a few weeks. It doesn’t seem to blend well on some blogs, so let me know whether or not Snap Shots integrates comfortably with this blog in a comment.
